An Introduction - A street photography enthusiast from Mumbai, India

    Hello Everyone,

I'm Sanket Saraf from Mumbai India & I'm a self taught street photographer.

    This is me

I got my inspiration to start when I attended my first photography exhibition. There a friend Naela Shaikh had one of her photographs on display. We talked about the meaning of a few of the pieces. I was already in love with European Baroque Paintings and photographs gave me similar visual and meaningful pleasures. She also introduced me to the Mumbai Weekend Shoot (MWS) & Mulchand Dedhia (the organizer).

I caught the bug in November 2012, when I bought my first camera - the Canon SX50HS.
I started playing with the settings and took a few pictures. Then i went for my first shoot with MWS at a vintage car rally at Fort. Going to the meets every Sunday ignited my passion for people and street photographs.

I've found that people are generally warm and friendly and would even pose for you if you ask them politely. And that every place has something new to offer on your next visit.
I've started this blog to talk about my experiences & kindness that exists even in the simplest of people.

So, every Sunday morning I set out on the streets of Mumbai, to look for people, places & experiences that pique my interest.

You may go through a few of my pictures here:
